SUKAN TAHUNAN TABIKA KEMAS, DUN PULAU BETONG

16HB Julai 2009, Padang Sekolah Kebangsaan Pulau Betong. Seramai lebih kurang 200 orang pelajar cilik dari Tabika Kemas Dun Pulau Betong Terlibat dengan acara Sukan Tahunan Tabika Kemas. Acara sukan dirasmikan oleh Y.B. Sr. Haji Muhammad Farid Bin Haji Saad, Adun Kawasan Pulau Betong.

Acara bermula dari 8.30 pagi dengan Lintas Pembarisan Hormat dari pelajar cilik diiringi dengan guru serta pembantu. Sungguh comel kanak-kanak yang dihiasi dengan riben, aksesori serta ada yang berkaca mata hitam. Lagu Negaraku bergema diiringi dengan Lagu Pulau Pinang dan Kemas dibantu oleh koir cilik dari Tabika Kemas Titi Teras.

Antara acara yang dijalankan ialah Larian Berganti-ganti, Larian Obor, Pundi Kacang, Kumpul Bola Dalam Bakul, Skipping, Telur Labah-labah. Turut menghiburkan di mana acara untuk guru, waris dan pegawai turut memeriahkan keaadaan. Tambah meriah dengan cabutan bertuah yang disediakan.

Jumlah penduduk, dianggarkan lebih kurang 100 orang dalam tahun 1786, meningkat secara mendadak pada tahun 1816 seramai 23,418 orang dan pada tahun 1830 seramai 33,959. Sehingglah ketahun 1759, jumlah penduduk Melayu melebihi kaum lain, tetapi selepas tahun 1860 kaum Cina mula mengatasi orang Melayu dengan kemasukan imigran dari Negera China.

Bermula dari tahun 1860 itu sehinggalah pada tahun lepas-2008, jumlah penduduk kaum Cina adalah mengatasi jumlah penduduk Melayu. Walaubagaimanapun, mengikut Jabatan Perangkaan Malaysia dan SERI (Pulau Pinang), pada tahun ini - 2009, jumlah penduduk kaum Melayu buat pertama kalinya melebihi jumlah penduduk kaum Cina, dan dijangkakan berterusan. Banyak perkara yang boleh diperdebatkan tentang fakta baru ini !

Who exactly owns Nusmetro Ventures (P) Sdn Bhd, the developer of the Oasis luxury condominium project?

According to the latest records for the developer filed with the Companies Commission of Malaysia, Asia Link-up Sdn Bhd holds 96 per cent of the RM250,000 issued share capital of Nusmetro Ventures (P) Sdn Bhd.

That makes Nusmetro Ventures (P) Sdn Bhd almost a wholly owned subsidiary of Asia Link-up.

But who owns Asia Link-up then? It’s now time to lift its corporate veil as well.

According to the Companies Commmission, Asia Link-up documents registered as at 24 April 2009 show that Mohamad Faridz Karim of Balik Pulau owns 80 per cent of the company’s RM500,000 issued share capital. Faridz has also been director of Asia Link-up since October 2004 and director of its subsidiary, Nusmetro Ventures (P) Sdn Bhd, since April 2005.

So that makes Faridz one of the key men on the developer’s side.

Matra Buana Pulau Pinang @ Penang Matra Buana launching...

As blogged by YB Sr Hj Muhamad Farid Saad (Member of Penang State Legislative Assembly - ADUN for Pulau Betong, Balik Pulau), Penang Matra Buana program is set for launching this week starting at 9 o'clock tomorrow morning, Sunday, 4 JULY 2009, with an officiation by YB Dato' Seri Dr. Hilmi Yahaya (ADUN Teluk Bahang) at the Balik Pulau Sports Complex. A performance by eleven Malay martial art academies is set to entertain the local crowd and visitors.


A two-day programme in Universiti Sains Malaysia will follow on Wednesday, July the 7th, with an officiation ceremony set for 8:30 pm that evening.

Penang Matra Buana is hosted by YB Farid & BASKEB.

Pertandingan Mewarna Sempena Hari Terbuka Koperasi di Sek. Men. Teknik Balik Pulau (8.30 pagi - 11.00 pagi)

Seramai lebih kurang 100 orang pelajar KEMAS Parlimen Balik Pulau yang terlibat dengan Pertandingan Mewarna. Selain itu, terdapat juga aktiviti seperti Teka Teki, Pertandingan Bercerita dan Sesi Bergambar yang dikendalikan tenaga pengajar Sek. Men. Teknik Balik Pulau. Sebanyak 10 orang peserta terpilih mendapat hadiah terbaik bagi akviti tersebut.

Selain dari Pertandingan Mewarna terdapat pelbagai aktiviti seperti Gerai Niaga, Pameran Buku, Serta Pameran Koperasi oleh semua warga Sek. Men. Teknik Balik Pulau.

Pelbagai aktiviti yang menarik untuk anak-anak dan sungguh rugi bagi ibu bapa yang tidak membawa anak-anak meluangkan masa bersama di sini.

Kelab Usahawan Sosial Balik Pulau juga tidak ketinggalan yang membawa usahawan-usahawan dari Kak Rubi (menjual pelbagai produk dari Persatuan Ibu Tunggal), Kak Syifa(Promosi Syifa Gris, ubat menambahkan belendir di badan seperti sakit-sakit lutut), En. Syahir (Prodok Bio-Ho, penapis air), En. Adam Wong(Promosi Servis membaiki komputer) & Kak Zanna (Promosi Produk Avail). En. Muzaffar (Perunding Kewangan & Pusaka) & Puan Sara (Produk Kecantikan Marbella) turut meletakkan flyers sempena dengan program ini.
