Abdullah Chairs Penang UMNO Liaison Meeting

PENANG (Bernama) -- Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi chaired the Penang Umno liaison meeting at the Balik Pulau Sports Complex here Friday.

The prime minister was received by deputy state Umno liaison chairman Datuk Seri Abdul Rashid Abdullah, secretary Datuk Azhar Ibrahim and Balik Pulau Umno division head Datuk Seri Dr Hilmi Yahaya upon arrival at the complex at 9.45am.

This is the first time that the meeting is held in Balik Pulau.

Abdullah is scheduled to perform Friday prayers at the southwest district mosque here at noon and have lunch with the people in the mosque compound before returning to the federal capital in the late afternoon.
