Salaam Ramadhan al-Mubarak!

Happy fasting to all Muslims in Balik Pulau, Penang, or where ever you are at the moment...

Photo shows the dome and upper part of al-Mukhtar Mosque, the provincial mosque for the southwest region of the state of Pulau Pinang Malaysia, built in early 2000s. This mosque, located at Jalan Balik Pulau between the district police headquarters and the district public library has the biggest fully air-conditioned Muslim praying hall in Penang, after the State Mosque in Air Itam. Other big mosques (with bigger congregation/praying spaces including the open air ones) in Penang include Masjid Bayan Baru and the historic Masjid Kapitan Keling in Georgetown.
